Ophthalmology

An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye disease. Eye surgery, also known as ocular surgery, is surgery performed on the eye or its adnexa by an ophthalmologist and may include lens procedures such as cataract surgery, anterior segment surgery and oculoplastic surgeries.

Dr Martinez is originally from Spain. She trained as an ophthalmologist in Barcelona (Spain) and worked there in comprehensive eye care for 10 years before moving to the US in 2010 for family reasons. She loved and missed her profession so much that in order to return to clinical practice here in America she completed a one-year glaucoma research fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital and 4 years of another ophthalmology residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann Hospital (Philadelphia) and West Virginia University Eye Institute (Morgantown). Dr Martinez’s areas of expertise include cataract surgery, management of glaucoma and dry eye disease.

Jon Peet, MD

Jon Peet, MD is a board-eligible comprehensive ophthalmologist and eye surgeon working with patients throughout Hatboro, Bethlehem and Levittown, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine. Since starting his career, Dr. Peet has developed a broad range of research interests, from ophthalmologic imaging to value-based medicine. His strong research background drives him to stay current with the latest treatments and provide excellent patient care. Dr. Peet’s specialties include small-incision cataract surgery and glaucoma management.
