An orthopedist is a medical specialist who focuses on the musculoskeletal system. The orthopedic field centers around bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Orthopedic specialists have a common goal of maintaining good mobility in patients of all ages.

Colin Ackerman, MD

Dr. Colin Ackerman specializes in the treatment of a variety of orthopaedic conditions and performs several orthopaedic procedures including endoscopic carpal tunnel release, fracture care, hand, wrist and elbow surgery, and ligament and nerve repair. He is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University.

Steven E. Casey, MD

As a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a sub specialty in sports medicine, Dr. Steven Casey has practiced in the Sellersville, Lansdale, Harleysville and Quakertown areas for over 20 years. He is a graduate of Temple University Medical School. Dr. Casey specializes in a variety of orthopaedic procedures including foot and ankle reconstruction, sports related foot and ankle injuries, sports medicine, and wrist and hand procedures. His accolades include affiliations with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, American Foot and Ankle Society, and Bucks County Medical Society. Additionally, Dr. Casey served in the US Navy, where he was head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at Camp LeJeune Naval Hospital.

Dr. Ernest Cope is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and has been practicing in Sellersville, Lansdale, Quakertown and Harleysville for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Cope specializes in a variety of orthopaedic and spine conditions including minimally invasive spine procedures, spinal fusion, degenerative disc disease, elbow, wrist, hip and knee surgery, as well as sports medicine. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society, Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, PA Orthopaedic Society, Eastern Orthopaedic Society, PA Medical Society and Bucks County Medical Society.

James M. Hurley, MD

Dr. James Hurley is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in orthopaedic sports medicine. He has been practicing for over 20 years in Quakertown, Sellersville, Lansdale and Harleysville. Dr. Hurley’s surgical subspecialties include shoulder and elbow surgeries, rotator cuff repairs and minimally invasive shoulder reconstructions, along with sports medicine. Dr. Hurley graduated from Temple University School of Medicine. John M. Minnich, MD

Dr. John Minnich is a board-certified othopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine. He has been practicing in the Quakertown, Sellersville, Harleysville and Lansdale areas for almost 20 years. Dr. Minnich is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College and has a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in sports medicine. He specializes in a variety of orthopaedic conditions including sports medicine, sports concussion management, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and minimally invasive shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopic knee procedures, ACL reconstruction, cartilage restoration, Achilles tendon, and wrist and elbow surgery. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Associates of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Medical Associates. Dr. Minnich was a staff orthopaedic surgeon at the Pensacola Naval Hospital and served with distinction while deployed in the Middle East.

Peter Wang, MD

Dr. Peter Wang is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine. He has been practicing in the Lansdale, Chalfont, Doylestown, and Sellersville area for over 20 years. Dr. Wang specializes in a variety of orthopaedic conditions including surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee, joint replacement, cartilage restoration, and fracture management. Dr. Wang’s focus in our facility is arthroscopic shoulder procedures with an emphasis on meniscus injuries.

Paul L. Weidner, MD

As a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in primary and revision total joint replacement, Dr. Paul Weidner has over 30 years experience practicing in the areas of Sellersville, Lansdale, Harleysville and Quakertown. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Weidner’s focus in our facility is arthroscopic knee procedures with an emphasis on meniscus injuries. His accolades include charter membership of the Arthritic Hip and Knee Society and affiliations with the following professional organizations: American Medical Association, Pennsylvania Medical Society, Philadelphia County Medical Society, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, Bucks County Medical Society, Eastern Orthopaedic Association and the Association for Promotion of Arthritic Hip & Knee Surgery.
